I have serious doubts about the care provided here. I sent a care package to a resident. It took 7 days to travel 2100 miles to reach the front desk. Then 12 days to get it actually delivered. If they can't handle the simple tasks, then do they really care? Actions speak volumes.

It’s tough for any patient who needs skilled nursing care. But Novato Healthcare tries its best to deliver competent care along with a very caring nature.

Photos are of NHC resident, Eileen, at Easter and upon getting headphones for her TV.

I spoke with my brother's nurse to share information about a missed appointment. She was very kind, shook my hand, and said she would personally call Hanger Clinic to set up another appointment. She also suggested that my brother, when he receives an appointment card, make sure he shares it with his nurse. I had a very positive experience. Keep up the good work.

I absolutely hate this place and will do everything in my power to get my poor mother out of this horrible place. I live about two hours away so I can only make it to Novato once or twice a month and when I do show up my mom is filthy and soiled not clean at all. Her poor eye was matted shut and no one bothered to clean it so she could open her eye. When I brought this to the staffs attention no one could even find the nurse that was supposed to be looking after my mother come to find out the cna took a 3 hour break as I was leaving the facility I could hear this nurse being reprimanded for not actually being in the building nor taking care of patients. How do I know this is not happening all the time. I’m highly disappointed with Novato health center and will be contacting the ombudsman. Family’s if you can avoid placing your loved ones here please do this place is horrible.

About this data

How to read this page

Star ratings vs. Care Quality Score: The Google star rating reflects visitor and family opinions collected from public reviews. The Care Quality Score is an independent metric derived entirely from federal inspection data — the two measure different things, and comparing them side-by-side gives a fuller picture.

Where this data comes from

All clinical data on this page originates from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that certifies and inspects every Medicare- and Medicaid-participating nursing home in the United States. Reviews are imported verbatim from public Google business listings.
